About the service
A survey is the base every other drawing is built on: an error in boundaries or levels carries through into design and construction. We survey land and existing buildings, set out points and boundaries on site, and produce contour maps and GIS data.
At a larger scale, we provide urban planning studies and infrastructure project design that take account of land use, movement and services, with outputs coordinated to the requirements of the competent authorities.

Frequently asked questions
When do I need a land survey?
Usually before design, for permit, subdivision or merger applications, and whenever you need to document an existing building or verify plot boundaries on site.
What is the difference between a land survey and a soil investigation?
A land survey measures the site: boundaries, levels and existing structures. A soil investigation is a geotechnical study of soil properties used in foundation design; it is a different service.
